Things to do

Moscow is the largest city in Russia and a major international travel destination as a country with a rich history and a very distinctive culture. This is a city that has seen so many trials and triumphs and this is something that makes a visit here such an intriguing experience. Remember that this is a huge city and in coming here you should have an itinerary ready to ensure you see all the great sights and attractions that this city has to offer. The country has endured more hardship than most and Moscow is the city at the center of it all

No place serves as more of the center of the Russia than Red Square. This is such an important place in a country that has had such a turbulent past and this is without question the top tourist attraction in the city. The square is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and with the Kremlin Wall, Lenin's Tomb and its location right in the center of the city this has long been an extremely important area in the city where numerous historically significant events have taken place. This is one of the top attractions in not only Russia, but the entire world and this is a superb place to wander around and take it all in.

Moscow is an incredible city and one of the best ways get here is by taking a Moscow River Icebreaker Cruise. These cruises explore the area in and around Moscow and the gorgeous natural beauty that you will enjoy along the way will create an experience unlike any other while floating down the Moscow River. The tours are very informative and point out the many important historical sites along the river. With great food and drinks an informative two hour tour this event is very popular with travelers coming to Moscow and this is a great way to preface your exploration upon arriving in the city.

Thought you knew everything about the Cold War? Think again. The Cold War Museum is an excellent attraction that puts on full display the intricacies and events that took place during the Cold War. This museum sits on the site of a Cold War Nuclear Bunker and it is astonishing to think that this was at one time the center of much of the world's fears. The guided tour and video does an amazing job of putting everything here into context and explaining the history of what transpired here during the Cold War.

For some amazing views and a one of a kind atmosphere when in Moscow, you must come and see for yourself the sky high City Space Bar. This bar exudes class and with great staff and delightful cocktails on deck, guests enjoy this little bar perched high above the beautiful city. This is a place to see and be seen in Moscow so keep in mind that while this is a truly amazing place to come visit, you can expect to pay handsomely for the luxury and you must make reservations in advance.

The Tretyakov Gallery is where you will find one of the best collections of Russian Art anywhere in the world and many of the best Russian works are located here. If there is one center for the arts in Russia, this would be it and within just a few hours you can see some of the finest pieces dating back to the 11 th century. The museum does a great job of teaching the story of Russian Art and the guided tours offered are essential if you are interested in learning about the history behind these many works and the artists who created them.
