Moscow has a wealth of historical, cultural and arts attractions. Follow the tumultuous history of Russia in the National Historical Museum, Museum of GULAG History and State
Museum of Contemporary Russian History.
Art lovers will have a great time visiting the New Tretyakov Gallery and Archangelskoye Estate as well as the Central House of Artists, a great place for stocking up on souvenirs and gifts. The Tolstoy House Museum and Pushkin Apartment Museum will delight literary buffs and fans of Russia’s classical writers.
If you’re visiting during summer (or dress very warmly during winter!) take a walk through Moscow’s outdoor attractions like Gorky Park, one of the world’s most well-known inner-city parks, and admire traditional Russia you’ll see on a stroll through the Arbat district.
